All presenters and attendees are requested to register for the conference:

  • Full Conference Delegate registration is $175 (CAN)
  • Student Delegate registration is $100 (CAN)

What registration includes: Full access to all conference panels, presentations, and special events; lunches, dinners, beverages and snacks for the duration of the conference (most conference accommodation includes breakfast); delegate kit with name badge, folder, note paper, bag, and so on. UBC is a beautiful campus, but options for food are limited during the summer months. For this reason, registration includes meals and snacks, with vegetarian options always available. We hope this will give participants more time to spend with each other instead of searching the campus for meal options!

Payment information: To process your payment and registration, we ask for your name, contact information, and affiliation as you would like this to appear on your name badge. UBC accepts most international credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), cheques (in Canadian funds and from a Canadian bank), and wire transfers. Your registration and payment will be confirmed by an automatic email. Please use this confirmation as your registration receipt.

Cancellation policy: In the event that you are no longer able to attend this event, we are able to offer a full refund up to 30 days prior to the conference. After May 1, 2013, we are unable to offer refunds of your registration fee due to administrative restraints.

For out-of-country attendees: For out-of-country attendees, it is important to check your eligibility to enter Canada as soon as possible. Nationals of certain countries may require a visa to enter. Please consult the list provided here. If you have any concerns about your ability to attend this conference or would like assistance in the process, please contact the conference organizers at bcsprogram@gmail.com. A letter of invitation is issued solely for the purpose of assisting participants with visa applications and does not imply any financial obligation on the part of the conference organizers. If you require a letter of invitation, please contact the Registration Secretariat at registration@housing.ubc.ca or at 1-604-822-1050 as soon as possible. Please note that your registration must be complete and paid in full before an invitation letter will be issued. If your entry visa to Canada is denied, we will refund your registration payment in full without penalty.
